Sennebogen drop in at Port Talbot 08

E.H.Hassell, UK dealer for Sennebogen cranes has
commissioned the first new 100 tonne capacity 6100HD ‘B’ series
crawler magnet crane for Brambles Industrial Services. This is
the first of two new machines that will be employed in the Port
Talbot steel works on arduous duty cycle work for Corus. This
first machine will be working 24 hours – 7 days per week on a 3
shift basis and will be assigned to balling duties in one of the
Port Talbot balling pits.
The 6100 HD is a real multifunctional state-of-the-art crane;
powered by a Caterpillar C15 365 kw diesel engine it features a
hydraulically tilting cab. Utilising a 29 tonnes rear
counterweight plus a 14 tonnes carbody counterweight it is
equipped with strong 200 kw Newton winches, a Wylie safe load
indicator, model 3000 complete with data logger.
