Metals of Mansfield have recently taken delivery of a new Ing.
Bonfiglioli “transportable” car baler, supplied by E H Hassell and
Sons Ltd (UK and Eire Ing. Bonfiglioli dealer).
Darren Whittaker (owner) “We have been thinking about a car baler
for a number of years. We had heard of the benefits of being able to
process more vehicles and stack them more safely in the yard. In
addition to being able to get around three times more cars into a
transport vehicle when compared to full sized depolluted cars. We
liked the idea of the machine being transportable via a roll on /
roll off vehicle.”
Having
looked at various manufacturers the clear winner was the Ing.
Bonfiglioli “transportable” baler. “We had heard good things about
the product and liked the fact that the new dealer was an
established company in the scrap metal equipment market, E H Hassell
& Sons Ltd. We went down to their premises to take a look at a
baler, sorted out a finance deal via JCB Finance, and the machine
was delivered and installed in a matter of weeks.
We have
now been using the baler for around 6 weeks, and can honestly say I
am very impressed. Once we get going we can bale around 20 cars per
hour, the consistency of the finished bale is very impressive, even
when you leave the engines and gear boxes in the cars. This allows
us to stack the bales in our yard, much more safely than before.”
Ing. Bonfiglioli are a family owned and managed company, with its
manufacturing plant in Bologna Italy, they produce a range of scrap
metal processing equipment and cranes for HGV’s.
Ian
Hassell, the Managing Director of E H Hassell & Sons said: “We have
now added the Ing. Bonfiglioli product range to our existing
Sennebogen material handlers, allowing us to better service and
support the scrap metal industry, our key market.”
